Create Your Own Coal Garden!
This is a great science class project on crystals!
4 Tablespoons of Water 4 Tablespoons of Ammonia 4 Tablespoons of Laundry Bluing 4 Tablespoons of Salt Food Coloring Chunks of Coal
Soak the coal in plain water until very wet. Place in a glass bowl only (NO METAL). Use different size chunks of coal and arrange as you like.
Mix the following in a glass jar: 4 tablespoons of Water, 4 tablespoons of Ammonia, 4 Tablespoons of Bluing. Pour over the coal making sure all of the pieces are wet. Put a few drops of the bluing and some food coloring on some of the pieces. Sprinkle 4 tablespoons of salt evenly over the coal.
This will start to work in 4 to 6 hours. You can add artificial flowers and other decorations to enhance your garden's beauty!
